Inspired by the legendary love story of Mr. and Mrs. and the classic Italian love story between Romeo and Mrs. Juliet, The Marriage Proposal is also the work that brings in both Vietnamese and Italian culture.

The bridge is made up of two independent branches, 400 m long reaching between coastal areas, making a unified but not touched but separated by about 30 cm. This is the intention of the architect, so that the small distance is like the vibrations in love and can only be "filled"by the sunset as well as the sweet kiss of the couple from the 2 branches of the bridge, creating a brilliant, shimmering, extremely romantic scene in the Sea Of Pearl Island.

Not only is it a symbol of eternal love, proposing marriage also brings a message of friendship, a message of peace, a connection between people, a land with a land. Particularly significant, this is also the work marking 50 years of history in Vietnam-Italy cooperation.

According to the revelations of the architects involved in the construction of the bridge, the total weight of the proposal is estimated at 6,000 tons. If calculated, this volume is equivalent to 600 buses. The two bridgeheads have overpassed the conson span (horizontal bridge structure, fixed only at one end, one free end) up to 25m, the unprecedented record of a footbridge at sea.

Engineers and architects have also skillfully calculated that the sun will" fall " in the right space between the two branches of the bridge before completely sinking into the sea. This moment will be perfect for about 7 days at the end of the year, from Christmas to the end of January 1. In that beautiful and enchanting light, a kiss, or a handshake of friendship will be miraculously honored, in front of the cinematic frame of the town of Sunset. At night, the bridge will bring another romantic beauty - like a light in the middle of the night sea with advanced lighting technology LED Dynamic. 

The proposal also inspired Sun Group to collaborate with ECA2 to develop the idea of Kiss The Stars, a show using multimedia demonstration technology performed on Asia's largest sea screen. Also taking love as the content throughout, the show tells the beautiful love story of The Twilight Town Boy and female warrior from the distant universe in the fight to protect the Galaxy against the risk of destruction. At the conclusion, when peace is made is when 2 characters exchanged sweet kisses, on the background of marriage proposal. The show skillfully explains the origin of the proposal, was born as a symbol of a beautiful love and sent human values about preserving, protecting nature, protecting wild animals in nature before extinction.
